Halloween 2010

Costumes:
Liam: Optimus Prime
Jerad: Elephant
Molly: Some type of pregnant flapper

We carved pumpkins around 5pm and went out to get candy about 7pm. It was chilly but not cold, so it was actually awesome trick-or-treating weather. We hit up the North End (Warm Springs being the favorite) and Liam got tons of candy. He discovered the most efficient (meaning fast) way to get candy is to run to each house, ring the bell followed by knocking on the door, hold up his pumpkin bucket, and say "TRICK OR TREAT TRICK OR TREAT I LIKE SNACKS!"  Judging by how heavy his bucket was, this was pretty effective. One house gave him 3 Snickers.
House guy: Do you want 3 snickers?
Liam: (gasp) oh my!
Liam running down the sidewalk: SNIIIIIIICKERSSSS!!!

Other things he told us he saw: a spooky house, a spooky pumpkin, a spooky skeleton, a spooky ghost. Liam watches a lot of Scooby Doo, and his favorite adjective makes more sense on Halloween.

He wanted to knock on the doors alone, even telling his Dad, who was trying to help "you go back. you go back with Mamma. You stay there"

The pumpkin he picked for me to carve for him was tiny (see below photos). He later shoved it into the mouth of Jerad's pumpkin, showing us all the pure brutality of pumpkin cannibalism.

going faster=more candy faster
