We love Dr. Beauchaine at Primary Health. She is the best pediatrician we could ask for. Even at Cassia's appointment she asked about Liam's allergies. And about Cassia....we found out some of what we already know:
- she is small. 25% in weight, 30% in height, and 10% in head size
- she is smart. she smiles, tracks with her eyes, turns her head when she hears, and holds her head up like a 4 month old. "She's early in everything!" says her doctor.
And other unsurprising news, she wants Cassia to not have any solids until 6 months (rice cereal is OK) and then to avoid all major allergens until a year "with your family and Liam's history we should hold off". Liam is really good about his corn allergy, he will ask "is there corn syrups on this?" and refused to use mustard one night because "it might have corn syrups and give me hives. Daddy is covered in corn syrups" not sure why Jerad was the one accused, but Liam was pretty serious so we let it be.

Anyway, Cassia now weighs 9.13 and is 22 inches long. She also managed to pee on her clothes, her blanket, me, and all over most the exam room. Many towels were involved. But, Dr. B says she is doing great and has no worries about her. She was even good getting 3 shots and a liquid medicine. No more visits for 2 more months.
